A graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine, he completed his residency and a retinal research fellowship at the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His clinical interests are in medical diseases of the retina. His research interests include animal models of retinal and choroidal vessel disease, retinal and choroidal new blood vessel formation, diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Frank is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science. He is past recipient of the Alcon Research Institute award and is a member of the Wayne State University Academy of Scholars. This physician can also be found under his clinical specialty.
